We are honored to create space to hear voices of local International Indigenous Youth Council members. The International Indigenous Youth Council seeks to organize youth through education, spiritual practices and civic engagement to create positive change in our communities.

There is some exciting energy in the young generation that I haven’t seen in a long time. They have a lot of power if they grasp it.

I was disappointed I couldn’t attend, but I’m eagerly anticipating June’s meeting with Peter Kalmus. You needn’t be a resident of Los Angeles or the San Fernando Valley to attend, Diana — you are welcome to register and join those meetings from wherever! And you’ll get to see what Tara and I look and sound like!

Interesting, I’d never heard of this organisation before. My sister lived in Australia for a year and she stayed with a family that fought for the rights and fought to raise awareness about how the indigenous were treated there. It’s also nice to hear that they’re helping the environment.
